Oh! That Pouty Lips!

You can disagree with me but I think pouty lips are exceptionally sexy.    Angelina Jolie and Anne Curtis often enthralled people’s attention because of their pouty lips; lucky for them as they are naturally blessed with those glamorous lips.

But to get that kind of lips is now a piece of cake with the wonders of makeup, innovative product and technology.   If you opt for a permanent one then go for a surgery but if you wanna just have them on occasions then go for that lip plumper products or better yet the easy on the pocket  method “let make up do the trick”.

So here are the steps of that trick I gathered from my make-up artist friends which you might be interested to try:
  • Exfoliate your lips-you can try this with a toothbrush don’t put a toothpaste J just wet the brush with water and gently brush on your lips.
  • Put a concealer on your lips
  • Line your lips with a nude liner or the one that matches your favorite lipstick or gloss. Create the new line as close to your natural lip line as possible, subtly thickening the appearance.
  • Color your lip with a lipstick and dab a little concealer on the middle part of your bottom lip.
  • Add a lip gloss
  • And voila your pouty lips are now set

Losing Weight After Pregnancy

It’s been almost a year since I gave birth to my daughter and here I am still on the process of getting rid the extra pounds I packed during my pregnancy.  I was just  112 lbs before I got pregnant and a month after I gave birth I was  127 lbs.  And now my little one will be turning 1 in a month but still I have not yet gotten back my pre-pregnancy weight.  Don’t ask me if I did dieting and exercising, because I already cut off pork, fried food and chips.  And lugging around a baby all day is itself a workout for me already. Oh well, I lost 6 lbs by the way  from 127 I am now 121 though that means I still have 9 lbs to discard.

I know losing weight after pregnancy is a plodding process unless of course you will get a magical “zap” from a cosmetic surgeon.  But I trust that there are moms who don’t have to go through the “ordeal” of a no-carb diet and unyielding exercises to get back that voluptuous body in a matter of 4 months or so after giving birth.  I’ve seen this with at least 2 of my friends and their common denominator? they’re still in their early 20s when they gave birth and one more thing, their originally slender.. lol.

So I guess my age and my body type are the main contributing factors why it took me so long to lose weight.

Don’t you think so?

How I take care of my face

I confess that I have this fetish in taking care of my face.  Maybe because I grew up watching my mama as she did her daily beauty regimen and had maintained wrinkle-free and glowing face until the age of 60.   And the amazing thing is, she did not use any beauty product in the market.   Everything was natural.

Obviously, I copied her beauty ritual which are cleansing daily with mild soap, exfoliating twice a week with young papaya leaf and moisturize with banana paste mixed with milk and honey(leave on face for 20-30 min. then rinse).  However, because I’m a lazy bum I made some modification on the stuff she used;  and also I have some supplementary things that I realized my face loves.

So here’s my own beauty regimen:
A.    Daily
  •          Cleanse with facial foam
  •          Tone ( I don’t rub my face, I kind of massage the cotton ball in circular motion)
  •          Moisturize ( I still use the banana paste sometimes, but often do this with olive oil or moisturizing cream)

      B. Twice a week
  •          Exfoliate with oatmeal
  •          Avocado paste ( still a moisturizer but I leave this on my face 30 min- 1 hr.)

And  " Don't sleep with your make up on" and "Drink 8-10 glasses of water a day"  probably trite but totally helpful.
